Today’s drive was a short 3 hours south on I-75, arriving at 1 p.m. at Manatee Encore RV Resort. We did have a little trouble backing into our site as it is quite cramped where we are with cars in drives and manicured lawns. The pad itself was just long enough to get the trailer tires on and have room to park the truck. The rear jacks are on the sandy grass. There is a concrete patio and picnic table on our site. It’s nice to have a concrete patio so we can stamp the sand off our feet before we enter the trailer.
After we got in Steve, from across the street, came over and wanted to see what is involved in setting up and the very basics of RVs. He is from NY, lived in the area for a while and has stayed back to finalize the sale of his home and will return to New York to join his wife and daughter. He is staying with his sister in He is thinking about getting some type or RV but is a total novice.
